Toyo is a proud sponsor of the National Auto Sport Association (NASA).  Founded in 1991, NASA stages events for automobile racers and driving enthusiasts from coast-to-coast.  Its comprehensive format starts by welcoming first-time track drivers piloting their own licensed street cars in a High Performance Driving training program called “HPDE”.  HPDE offers select run groups designed to match a participant’s skill level.  Once students have advanced beyond HPDE, they can enter their vehicles in time trial or autocross competitions to get their dose of speed while remaining safe and enjoyable.

Serious racers can enter in various forms of competition from road racing to rallying and drifting.  Toyo’s Proxes RA1™ R-compound D.O.T.-legal competition radial has been the spec tire in many classes including American Iron Racing, Honda Challenge and Spec Miata Challenge.  It has been the competition standard for both amateur and professional road racers alike.

Toyo also provides a contingency program to support "Regional" NASA racers competing in classes where the Proxes RA1 is specified.  Regional race winners can earn “Toyo Dollars” rebate certificates worth up to $150.00 in value redeemable toward their next purchase of Proxes RA1 tires.  Depending on the number of entries in the class, rebate prizes are available through fifth place.   During the 2007 Regional Class Championship, first place finishers in select classes will receive “Toyo Dollars” certificates worth $1,000.00 toward their next RA1 purchase.

During the Fall of each year, NASA hosts the NASA Championships Presented by Toyo Tires® at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. This event allows competitors from regions around the country to compete for the title of “National Champion” in their respective classes at one of the most demanding and prestigious road courses in United States.  This week-long event is filled with fun activities for spectators, racers and their families.
