World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR)

All new for 2007 is the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing (WSORR) short course off-road racing series.  Based in the Midwest and the East, events are hosted at tracks in Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin.  The most famous of the short course off-road race tracks is Crandon Raceway located in Crandon, Wisconsin.  Crandon’s turn 1, with a high speed jump midway through the corner, has produced legendary racing starts throughout the years.

Team Toyo Off-Road past champions, Ben Wandahsega and Dave Waldvogel compete in this series, along with hard charging Pro 2WD class regulars, Kevin Probst and Ross Hoek, also Josh Hintz in the 1600 Light class.  Wandahsega and Waldvogel are engaged in an exciting Super Stock Truck class battle, having both scored double victories early in the season, competing head-to-head for the class title.  Both of their Chevy Silverado’s race on off-the-shelf LT285/75R16 Open Country M/T tires, winning on every conceivable surface, whether wet mud or on a dry track.

Kevin Probst of New Lenox, Illinois, driving his Chevy Silverado pickup has already racked up an early season win and two podiums, placing him in a prominent position to compete for the Pro 2WD championship.  Probst’s 800-horsepower truck relies on 35x12.50R17 Open Country M/T tires to get the job done.

Also winning early in the season is Josh Hintz in the 1600 Light Class.  This remarkable list of winners demonstrates the versatile performance of the Open Country M/T, whether on a light buggy or heavier truck, with medium to high-horsepower, or in variable weather conditions.
